SUMMARY
Responsible for creating an exceptional Sundance experience by providing consistent, friendly, professional, and timely service of food and beverages for Owl Bar Members.

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Warmly greet all Owl Bar patrons.
Ensure that all Owl Bar patrons are members or sponsored by members.
Knowledge and compliance of Utah liquor laws.
Exhibit responsible service of alcoholic beverages in accordance to laws, policies and procedures.
Prepare and/or serve drinks, along with serving food to bar patrons.
Set up and stock the bar at the beginning and end of each shift and keep bar clean and
organized at all times.
Learn all drinks and obtain a good knowledge of wines.
Prepare all drinks/wine for the guests in absence of bartender.
Enter orders in point of sale system.
Collect accurate payment for food and beverages.
Change draft beer kegs.
Stock beer, wine juices, liquor and fruit.
Make sure bar area is clean.
Learn all food menu items.
Place food orders following proper sequence of service.
Ensure pleasant dining experience for bar guests.
Gather wood for fireplace & build fire when appropriate.
Transport dirty dishes to kitchen dishwasher.

Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
Keep information confidential as directed in the confidentiality agreement and furthermore support and comply with all Sundance policies, procedures, and standards.

Be an ambassador of Sundance inside and outside of work.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest’s impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Staff is required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted- if no standard uniform is required.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are not permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for you department is required.
Sandals and flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
No beanies.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mnt. Ops.)
If your department allows t-shirts or hats, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos with no tears, frays, or rips.
If your department allows baseball caps, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.
Hair must be cleaned and combed. Long hair must be worn off the face.
No jewelry except for stud earrings and a wedding band.
Clean shaven or trimmed beard for men, no stubble
Pants/shirts must be free of stains, frays or holes
Pants/shirts must be clean and pressed
Employees must be showered with clean teeth, fresh breath, clean hands and nails
Owl Bar Standard uniform is …Black pants, black shoes, black socks, black button down collared shirt, and black belt.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
